1st Choice Service Group is a locally owned heating and cooling company on Stone Ridge Boulevard in North Asheville, founded in 2007 by Randall Pickenpaugh, a Marine Corps veteran, and Chris Cornett. They are a Lennox Premier Dealer and a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor with NATE-certified technicians. The heating side covers furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ductwork, and they are members of the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, so geothermal is on the table too. An electrical crew handles panels, standby generators, and EV chargers, which helps when a new heat pump needs electrical work. Service runs seven days a week except major holidays, across roughly forty towns from Weaverville and Black Mountain to Hendersonville and Waynesville.
