MB HAYNES Corporation
HVAC Contractors · Asheville, NC
MB HAYNES has operated from Deaverview Road in Asheville since 1921 and is employee-owned — a multi-trade construction and service company with more than 600 employees. Its residential heating and cooling work runs under the HAYNES Heating & Cooling name.
The company covers heating and cooling, electrical, plumbing, solar, security systems, controls and automation, and industrial process piping, serving homes, businesses, and industrial sites across Western North Carolina.
That breadth is the reason to know they exist. On a remodel crossing two or three trades, it is one contractor instead of three schedules to coordinate — and on the commercial side they will take the mechanical and electrical scope together.
Emergency service runs 24/7.

1st Choice Service Group is a locally owned heating and cooling company on Stone Ridge Boulevard in North Asheville, founded in 2007 by Randall Pickenpaugh, a Marine Corps veteran, and Chris Cornett. They are a Lennox Premier Dealer and a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor with NATE-certified technicians. The heating side covers furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ductwork, and they are members of the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, so geothermal is on the table too. An electrical crew handles panels, standby generators, and EV chargers, which helps when a new heat pump needs electrical work. Service runs seven days a week except major holidays, across roughly forty towns from Weaverville and Black Mountain to Hendersonville and Waynesville. Their Premier Customer Agreement waives the service-call fee for members.
