How do you handle the grade on my lot? The answer should involve a site visit, not a brochure.
Where does the water go? A pool changes how a hillside drains, and it can push runoff toward your house or your neighbor’s if nobody plans for it.
Who pulls the permits, and what is inspected? Pool construction is permitted work, and barrier and fencing requirements apply once it is finished.
It is also worth honestly weighing an above-ground pool. On a steep lot, a well-sited above-ground pool with a deck built around it can deliver most of what a family wants for a fraction of the excavation cost.
