Ask about radon when you book. Buncombe County sits in EPA Radon Zone 1, the highest of the three, so bundling the test with the inspection is usually worth it — and if the number comes back high, you want it in writing while you still have room to negotiate.

Radon comes up often enough in this part of the state that it's a fair question on almost any inspection here.
